Three Partners Selected for Inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2008

Harris Markhoff, Michael Markhoff and Stan Bulua were selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2008(Copyright 2007 by Woodward/White, Inc. of Aiken, SC).  Harris was selected in the areas of corporate law and trusts and estates, Michael was selected in the area of trusts and estates and Stan was selected in the area of taxation.  Selection to Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey by more than 25,000 leading attorneys throughout the United States.

Harris Markhoff Selected as a New York Super Lawyer

Harris Markhoff was selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyer Magazine in the area of taxation.  Only 5% of attorneys practicing in New York received this honor.

Corporate

On November 15, 2006, Joshua S. Levine, chaired the New York State Bar Association program on "Forming and Advising Businesses". Stanley E. Bulua spoke on "Choosing an Entity", David P. Gesser spoke on "Forming, Operating and Terminating the Corporation and LLC", and Joshua S. Levine spoke on "Financing the Start-Up and Growing Business".

On November 7, 2006, David P. Gesser spoke to physicians at the Beth Israel Medical Center on "First Year Employment Contracts".

Estate Planning and Taxation

On November 1, 2006 and November 15, 2006, Michael Markhoff chaired a program for Pace Law School entitled "What Every Lawyer Needs to Know About Estate Planning".  Michael and Stan Bulua participated as speakers and discussed basic will drafting as well as tax planning in light of changing times.

Harris Markhoff, Michael Markhoff, Stanley Bulua, Jay Fenster and Ira Langer addressed the Westchester/Rockland Chapter of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners on October 3, 2006 on Asset Protection.

Harris Markhoff and Michael Markhoff discussed Business Succession Planning at a Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council meeting on September 26, 2006.

On September 14, 2006, Michael Markhoff was a guest on "Peace of Mind with Bernie the Attorney", a radio program on WFAS-AM and discussed estate planning with the host, Bernard Krooks.
